Koi wa Ameagari no You ni Anime's New Visual Marks Rainy Season's Start

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Jun Mayuzuki's Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (Love is Like After the Rain) manga revealed a new visual on Thursday. The visual marks the start of the rainy season in the Kantō region, which includes Tokyo.

The anime will premiere in January 2018 in the Noitamina programing block on Fuji TV and other channels. Noitamina began streaming the series' first promotional video in March.

The manga centers on 17-year-old high school student Akira Tachibana, a girl who barely expresses herself. She harbors a secret crush on Masami Kondō, the 45-year-old manager of the family restaurant she works at part-time.

Mayuzuki launched the manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits in 2014, before it transferred to Weekly Big Comic Spirits early 2016, where it serializes a new chapter every other week. Shogakukan published the manga's seventh compiled book volume on March 10, and the eighth volume will ship on July 12. The manga's compiled volumes have more than 1.5 million copies in print.
