Adi Shankar Works on Assassin's Creed 'Anime' Series

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Producer Adi Shankar announced on Wednesday that his next project will be a series based on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed game series. He described the project as an "anime." Assassin's Creed head of content Azaïzia Aymar confirmed that Ubisoft is involved in the project.

The story of the Assassin's Creed series tracks a shadow war between Assassins and Templars that has been going on since the beginning of time, and is fought for the control of information about the secret history of humanity. Ubisoft announced a new game in the series titled Assassin's Creed Origins during E3 in June. A live-action film adaptation debuted last December.

Shankar's Castlevania animated series based on the classic Konami game series premiered on Netflix on Friday. Shankar previously said that his next project after Castlevania would be an animated series reimagining the first three seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He also previously said that he would "love to do" an R-rated live-action film based on CAPCOM's Mega Man franchise.
