Otakon 2017's Total Attendance Was 24,894

Otakorp Inc. announced on Tuesday that the total number of attendees for this year's Otakon event was 24,894. The number includes those who purchased badges as well as staff, dealers, industry, contractors, guests, and press. It also includes the Anisong World Matsuri. Otakorp noted that the number was down from last year.

Otakon 2017 took place from August 11-13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. It was the 24th convention, and the first year the convention was being held in D.C.; Baltimore has hosted the convention for the past 17 years.
