Atlus' Persona O.A. 'Support App' Launches in Japan

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Atlus launched its free Persona O.A. support app for the Persona franchise on iOS and Android devices in Japan on Thursday.

The app allows users to check the latest news for the franchise, and users can also play an exploration game. In the exploration game, players can explore Palaces with their favorite Persona character and Persona summon. Users can also collect "Persona Points" to spend to use more Persona summons in the game. As users play the exploration game, they will encounter new conversations with characters from the franchise. "Persona Points" can also be used to attain online content, presents, and applications to attend events.

Persona 5, the latest game in the franchise, shipped for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on September 15, 2016. The game shipped in North America on April 4, 2017 after a delay.

PERSONA 5 the Animation, the game's anime adaptation, will premiere on April 7 at 24:30 (effectively April 8 at 12:30 a.m.) on the Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 channels. The show will also stream at that time simultaneously in Japan on the AbemaTV service. MBS will then air the anime at 26:08 (2:08 a.m.), and GyaO! will begin streaming the series on April 9 at 12:00 p.m. Aniplex of America has licensed the series for North America.
