posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

The official website for Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion, the television anime of Nanahiko Takagi's Angolmois: Genkō Kassen-ki manga, revealed on Wednesday that the anime will have two volumes on Blu-ray Disc or DVD in Japan. The volumes list 12 episodes for the anime and they are slated for November 28 and December 21.

Each volume will also feature an exclusive manga by Takagi.

The anime premiered on Sun TV on Tuesday at 24:30 (effectively Wednesday at 12:30 a.m.), before later airing on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu, and BS11. The anime streams in Japan only on Amazon Prime Video starting at the same time as the Sun TV premiere. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

Takayuki Kuriyama (episode director on Re:CREATORS) is directing at NAZ. Shogo Yasukawa (Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is in charge of the series scripts. Masayori Komine (animation director on Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa, DRAMAtical Murder) is serving as both as character designer and chief animation director. Kumiko Habara (episode director on Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II, Battle Spirits Burning Soul) is serving as assistant director.

The traditional historical epic adventure centers around a samurai defending Japan against the first Mongol invasion of 1274. The manga debuted in Kadokawa's Samurai Ace magazine in 2013, and moved in 2014 onto Kadokawa's ComicWalker app. Kadokawa published the ninth compiled book volume on March 26.
