Nozomi Entertainment's Space Adventure Cobra TV Anime License Expires

posted on by Karen Ressler

Nozomi Entertainment announced on Wednesday that its license for the Space Adventure Cobra television anime is expiring and the DVDs are going out of print. The series will continue to stream on Nozomi Entertainment's YouTube channel and Crunchyroll until August 31.

Nozomi Entertainment announced the license in 2013 and released the series on two DVD sets in 2014.

The 31-episode anime from 1982 is based on Buichi Terasawa's manga about a space pirate and his female android partner. The Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie anime film opened alongside the series in the same year. Discotek Media released the film in North America.
