Newtype: A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Slated for 2019

In an interview with A Certain Magical Index creator Kazuma Kamachi and editor Kazuma Miki, published on Saturday, Newtype magazine mentioned that the third season of the A Certain Scientific Railgun anime is slated for 2019 along with the A Certain Scientific Accelerator anime.
The staff announced the new season at the "Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival" event last month. Tatsuyuki Nagai is returning to direct the anime at J.C. Staff.
Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series has inspired three television anime series, a 2013 anime film, and multiple manga adaptations. Motoi Fuyukawa's A Certain Scientific Railgun spinoff manga has also inspired two television anime adaptations and an original video anime (OVA).
