Azoland Pictures Cancels Canadian 'Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Take on Me' Film Screenings

Film distribution company Azoland Pictures announced on October 31 that it would only screen Kyoto Animation's Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Take on Me (Eiga Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! Take On Me) anime film in the United States. Azoland Pictures' original announcement last month said it would screen the film in both the United States and Canada. Azoland Pictures explained on Twitter on November 1, "things [changed] due to the circumstances which are not under our control."
Azoland Pictures began screening the film in the United States on November 2, with screening dates until November 19 in some locations.
The film, a sequel to the Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! -Heart Throb- anime, opened in Japan on January 6 and earned 70,422,300 yen (about US$634,500) in its opening weekend to rank #6 at the box office. Sentai Filmworks licensed the film, and partnered with the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival (LA-AFF) to screen the film during the event in September.
