Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Anime Premieres on October 12

The official website for the Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld, the second half of the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime, revealed on Tuesday that the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and MBS, on October 12, and it will also begin streaming on AbemaTV on the same day. It will premiere on AT-X on October 13, and on TV Aichi on October 15.
The anime will also have a compilation episode for Sword Art Online: Alicization titled "Reflection" that will run on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV on October 5. It will then run on AT-X on October 6, on MBS on October 7, and on TV Aichi on October 12, and it will stream on AbemaTV on October 12.
Sword Art Online: Alicization premiered in Japan on October 6 and is streaming on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and FunimationNow. The series is adapting the entire "Alicization Arc" of Reki Kawahara's original novels and will air for four cours, or four quarters of a year. The first two cours aired from October to March.
Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Saki, The Asterisk War) is directing the anime at A-1 Pictures. Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale animation directors Gou Suzuki and Tomoya Nishiguchi are joining Shingo Adachi for the character designs. Yuki Kajiura is returning to compose the music.
