Silver Spoon is a "slice-of-life" with a distinct and deliberate narrative arc just under the surface, clearly a deeply personal work for its creator, and all around a pleasant and thoughtful time in the boonies.

Tenchi Muyou OVA Series 2: Here Comes Jurai
1. Role of Seiryuu completely redubbed.
2. Scene of everybody placing bets on the Tenchi/Seiryuu duel cut.
3. Appendix episode, "Here Comes Jurai II" cut.
This was another episode allowed to run long. It also has the most interesting edit of the entire Tenchi Muyou series. If you have the original dubbed tapes or the DVD box you will notice that Seiryuu sounds different on Toonami than he does in the original Pioneer dub. That's because the original Seiryuu was the most stereotypical portrayal of the lisping homosexual I have ever heard. Airing the original dub would have resulted in GLAAD, The Gay Anti-Defamation League and every other homosexual advocacy group on the planet calling together a council of war against Cartoon Network. Needless to say, out with the old Seiryuu and in with the new. We also lost a bit of information in the appendix episode, Here Comes Jurai II, wherein Mihoshi relates to Washuu the events following their battle with Dr. Clay. It seems that some spacetime tampering had occured courtesy of Lady Tokimi. So the Tenchi OVAs end and the first TV series steps in to take its place.
