Rurouni Kenshin 40: A Killer Without Mercy
1) Blood spray digitally removed when Chō's sword strikes Kenshin's leg.
2) Bloodstain digitally removed from Kenshin's leg wound.
3) Blood spray digitally removed when Chō's blade grazes Kenshin's face.
4) Bloodstain again digitally removed from Kenshin's leg wound. Extent of the wound digitally reduced.
5) Not an Edit... Blood left on Kenshin's face as he stands after Chō's attack.
6) Not an Edit... Blood left on Kenshin's face as he closes to attack Chō.
7) Not an Edit... Blood left on Chō's face as he recovers from Kenshin's attack.
8) Chō's "Alright, if it's 'cause you forgotten how great killin' somebody can feel..." changed to "Alright, if it's 'cause you forgotten how great bein' a manslayer can feel..." as he taunts Kenshin with a threat to Iori.
9) Not an Edit... Blood left on Kenshin's face as he recovers himself after the battle.
This was an episode of reversals. They edit out the blood from Kenshin's leg yet both his and Chō's faces were covered with it. Death threats to children were edited out of previous episodes yet the entire fight between Chō and Kenshin was predicated on protecting Iori from Chō's murderous intent to include numerous death threats made by Chō against Iori.
Rurouni Kenshin 41: The Ultimate Technique of the Hiten Mitsurugi Style
1) Completely unedited
Another pleasant surprise. But as this was a fight-free episode I'm not that surprised. But now the Juppongatana are gathered in Kyoto and Shinomori Aoshi is with them. Things are going to get very interesting from here on in.
