Trivia:

Aside from various backgrounds outside his office window, the President has a different item on his desk on each episode. Episode 2 has a Michael Jackson statue. Episode 3 has three MS-09 Dom mobile suits (representing the Black Tri-Stars) from Mobile Suit Gundam.

The "Toka-chan" that Milk-chan receives in the mail on episode 2 is a 7.62 mm Tokarev TT33 pistol, which was standard issue to the Soviet Red Army from 1933 to the 1970s (after production in the USSR stopped in 1954). Today, China, Yugoslavia, North Korea and other former Communist countries still use this pistol as part of their military and/or police issue.

"Milk's Three Minute Yoga" is a parody of the "Three Minute Cooking" segments played on TV in Japan when there is plenty of air time left in between two different shows.

"Pastel Shin-san" is a parody of the TV series Crayon Shin-chan.

On episode 3, when Milk-chan asks the President if he's Bruce Lee, he responds by doing chops on his desk and imitating Bruce Lee's fighting sounds before saying, "You're already dead," a popular quote from the manga and anime series Fist of the North Star.

In the original version of episode 1, at the end where all the (live-action) people are snatching counterfeit money, one person holds up a counterfeit 10,000 yen bill and says "All right! Now I can get all the volumes of Kochikame!" Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo or "Kochikame" for short, is a manga which started in 1976 and is still running today, with over 130 volumes.

The original Japanese opening sequence parodies the following anime titles: Heidi, Girl of the Alps, Candy Candy, Combattler V, Mazinger Z, Kyoujin no Hoshi, Dog of Flanders, Cutey Honey, Majokko Megu-chan, Ace wo Nerae!, Dokonjou Gaeru, Devilman and Ashita no Joe.

In episode 1, when Milk-chan and the gang search for a money counterfeiter, they identify the real currency as bearing the face of "Kin" while the fake currency has the face of "Gin". Aside from being the Japanese words for "gold" and "silver," respectively, these are actually the names of twins Kin Narita (1892-2000) and Gin Kanie (1892-2001), Japan's oldest twins. ADV's version has Kin and Gin replaced with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
