Trivia:

The ED theme song is actually a remake of "Kimi Ni Munekyun" by YMO.

It's clear that this series is acknowledging it's two rather more famous fore-mothers. The opening narration bears a more than passing resemblance to the opening of "Marimite", while the getting lost and meeting Mariya matches up with "Strawberry Panic".

Episode 12: The three members of the Touichirou Alliance have the exact same hairstyles, hair colors, and hair clips as the three heroines of the anime series Fresh Pretty Cure.

In episode 6, Shizu, the twin sister of Mariya, is voiced by Aya Hirano who originally voiced Kanako in the drama CD.

In episode 6 Maria is seen using an A-T field from the series Neon Genesis Evangelion

The omake in episode 7 is a parody of a manga called 20th Century Boys written by Naoki Urasawa.

In episode 7 at around 7:00 minutes into the show, Kanako performs the the same movements as Nozomu Itoshiki in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei when he expresses that he is in despair. This is also shown in episode 12 at around 18:28 minutes by Touichirou Kanae.

In episode 9, (near the start), one of the things that fly out of the room is a Sega Dreamcast. It is part of Dorm-sensei's "favorite things with a tragic past", which also include the Sony PocketStation, Virtual Boy, and Nintendo Power Glove among others.

In Episode 12, during the announcement of a swim meet (@ 15:03), a student that looks distinctly like the Vocaloid character Miku Hatsune, appears among the students.

In episode 12, at about 19:36 into the show, the four characters to the left resemble Chiri Kitsu, Kafuka Fura, Harumi Fujiyoshi, and Matoi Tsunetsuki from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

In episode 12 at about 20:45, the characters resemble characters from Minami-ke and Maria-sama ga Miteru. From left to right Kana Minami, Haruka Minami, Maki, and Atsuko from Minami-ke. Followed by Shimako Toudou, Sachiko Ogasawara, Yumi Fukuzawa, Tōko Matsudaira, Kanako Hosokawa, Rei Hasekura, Yoshino Shimazu, and Noriko Nijō from Maria-sama ga Miteru.
