The anime is based on a manga by the same name that is running in the Manga Erotics F magazine, a magazine aimed at both women and men, that Ristorante Paradiso also ran in. 

The series takes place in Kamakura.

Episode 1 "Flower Story" may refer to a short story collection by lesbian novelist Yoshiya Nobuko.

Episodes 2 and 4 are named after the Japanese titles of two novels by Hermann Hesse, "Gertrud" and "Schön ist die Jugend."
