The March ending theme marks the very first time prolific anime/VG song lyricist Hata Aki performs the vocals for her own song in an broadcasted anime. (Her other known vocal performances centres around theme songs for video games) 

The story could very well be inspired by the legends surrounding the Muramasa swords forged by the Muramasa family. 

In episode 2, Despite sounding very exotic and Japanese the background music that plays when the 2 main characters are walking in the desert is actually Vietnamese. If listened carefully especially from 19:30 - 20:00, you can hear the words Ao Dai being repeated in the song which is one of the Vietnamese traditional dresses.
