Aria the Scarlet Ammo (TV)

The two main characters have the same seiyuu as the two main characters in Toradora. Rie Kugimiya as Taiga Aisaka (Toradora) and Aria H. Kanzaki (Aria the Scarlet Ammo). Junji Majima as Ryūji Takasu (Toradora) and Kinji Tohyama (Aria the Scarlet Ammo)

Jeanne d'Arc's character design includes a zweihander, as well as armor that bears a striking resemblance to the armor of Saber (or Saber Lily) from the Fate/Stay Night Universe. This is most likely a reference to her voice actress (Ayako Kawasumi), as both Jeanne and Saber share the same one.

In episode 3, the bus-jacking may be a reference to the film Speed, as it can be noticed that the bus was travelling at 50mph and could not slow below it for danger of explosion.

In episode 5 at timecode 07:26, you can see the Haneda Airport in Tokyo (with the new runway 05-23) and the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line.

The exterior model of the airplane in episode 5 either a 737-600 or a winglet-less 737-700ER (which doesn't exist, as it comes standard with them) with 2 extra engines tacked on. The cockpit is from a 737NG variant (600/700/800). This is also why the cockpit has two thrust control levers in the first place.

In episode 11, for the next episode preview, Aria mentions forgetting Kinji's name, going as far as to call him Yuji and Saito. Yuji and Saito are the male leads of other animes where the female lead was also voiced by the Japanese VA of Aria, Rie Kugimiya. In this case the two were from Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima.
