Trivia:

GaoGaiGar is the final entry in the Brave saga, but like the other installments, they have nothing to do with each other.

GaoGaiGar's two opening themes are two verses of the same song. Because of this, it's one of the few anime series whose opening theme actually appears in full with the opening titles.

GaoGaiGar contains several homages to other anime. Two of Gaogaigar's attacks (Broken Magnum and Broken Phantom) are references to similarly-named special techniques used by the hero of the classic boxing anime Tommorow's Joe. The "Goldion Hammer" which becomes GaoGaiGar's weapon halfway through the series is based on the (far less dangerous) hammer that perodically pops up in Kodomo No Omocha. And the villianous Pizza wears a bird outfit that is meant as a tribute to Gatchaman (AKA Battle of the Planets.)
