Trivia:

Boris Schauer's GPB-X38-30 Forever Gundam is a 1/144 HG (High Grade) Version 30th RX-78-2 Gundam modified with external armor parts and four VSBR (Variable Speed Beam Rifle) funnels.

Koji's RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam GPB Color differs from the standard HGUC (High Grade Universal Century) 1/144 kit, wherein it uses three pairs of movable Fin Funnels instead of only one.

Rina's GPB-04B Beargguy is a 1/144 HGUC MSM-04 Acguy with a new head an arms, made to look like a teddy bear.

Tatsu's GPB-06F Super Custom Zaku F2000 is a 1/144 HGUC MS-06F2 Zaku F2 modified with armor parts. Armament consists of a Deadend G Heat Hawk, Super Custom MMP-80 90mm Machine Gun and MMP-78 120mm Zaku Machine Gun, a forearm-mounted machine gun and shoulder-mounted missile launchers. In addition, the Zaku F2000 has two additional arms to hold all of its weaponry.

The duo performing the ending theme is KAmiYU, a portmanteau of Hiroshi Kamiya and Miyu Irino. The name is also derived from Kamille Bidan, the main protagonist of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

In the first episode, the 1/1 scale Gundam's statue is on display at Odaiba's Shiokaze Park. By the end of episode 3, the statue is in Shizuoka, which was its real-life location in 2010. The statue made its permanent residence at Diver City Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba in 2011.

Boris Schauer's title of "Gunpla Meister" is a play on the term "Gundam Meister" of Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Tatsu's change in personality while playing Gunpla Battle is a nod to Allelujah Haptism of Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Axis Hobby Shop is named after Axis, the asteroid fortress of the Principality of Zeon and Neo-Zeon in the Universal Century timeline.

In episode 1, Haru notices a bunch of black and white High Grade (HG) model kit boxes. These are part of the Ecopla sub-line, which consists of Gunpla made out of recycled plastic. Save for clear parts, all Gunpla in this sub-line are molded in black.

In episode 1, the building the Beginning Gundam crashes into is the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka.

Kenta's MSN-00100 Byaku Shiki in episode 2 is a 1/144 HGUC Hyaku Shiki repainted in white. The original kit's kanji for "Hyaku" (百) is replaced with that of "shiro" (white) (白).

In episode 2, the Beginning Gundam and Byaku-Shiki launch from the Argama, the protagonist ship of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.

In episode 2, the scene where Boris watches Hinode Irei manufacture the Beginning Gundam 30's upgrade parts at Bandai Hobby Center is an allusion to Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, where Char Aznable commissioned Anaheim Electronics to incorporate the psycommu system of his Sazabi into Amuro Ray's Nu Gundam.

In episode 3, the final tournament takes place at A Baoa Qu, the Principality of Zeon's asteroid fortress and final battleground of the One Year War in Mobile Suit Gundam.
