Trivia:

Galatea is named after a character from "The Legend of Pygmalion" It's about a Greek king who created a beautiful statue of a woman whom he named Galatea. He fell so in love with the statue he had sculpted that he asked the gods to make Galatea real. This they did.

The episode are references rock and roll music. For example, "Are You Experienced" is a Jimi Hendrix song, "Sheer Heart Attack" is a Queen song, "Shock Treament" is a Ramones song, and "Physical Graffiti" is a Led Zepplin album. In the first part of episode 11, before the boomer throws someone out of a window, the sign of one of the bars reads 'Ten Forward'. This was the name of the bar on board the USS Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

In Episode 4 "Machine Head" In a Picture on Linna's Dresser , Linna is shown wearing the Uniform from "Battle Athletes(Victory)"
