Trivia:

In Super Sentai tradition, the main protagonists surnames bear their color names: Akagi (赤 ("aka"), meaning red), Aoyagi (青 ("ao") for blue) and Moegi (黄, the kanji for "gi" is the same as "ki" for yellow).

The Sentai Cafe Himitsukichi is Japanese for "Secret Base", a common term used to describe the headquarters of Super Sentai teams.

Malseena's name is derived from "maru-C", or the copyright symbol; thus, her name can be alternatively written as "©na".

The Shatieeks, which are the Stema Otsu's foot soldiers, get their name from the word "shachiku" (社畜), which is Japanese for "corporate drone". As such, the Shatieeks wear stereotypical salaryman outfits and white masks that sport eyeglasses and thick eyebrows. In addition, they utter, "Norma" (ノルマ, "Quota") and "Zangyou" (ザンギョウ(残業), "Overtime") during battle.

Each Chief Clerk represents a district of Tokyo and bears the taxonomic synonym of the animal they resemble. For example, Shibuya Seitaka Awadachi Sōhigenaga Aburamushi (Uroleucon nigrotuberculatum) resembles a red goldenrod aphid.
