In episode 1 at about 13:43, the cat in her human form answers Yashiro when asked about her identity by saying “吾輩は猫である”(wagahai wa neko de aru) which literally means “I am a cat”. Her answer also happens to be the title of a 1905 satirical novel written by the famous Japanese novelist Natsume Souseki.
