Trivia:

Creator Kentaro Miura is inspired by Conan the Barbarian and Go Nagai.

The videogame spin-off "Sword of the Berserk" was called that, due to the name Berserk already belonging to an Atari game.

Unlike the manga, Puck is not feature in the anime. Although a fairy does appear in a brief still shot.

Other characters missing form the transition of manga to tv are the Skull Knight and Shilat. The Skull night who warns Guts of the year ahead after he leaves. Shilat was supposed to first appears at the figting competion and take down the giant Valancia. That then leads to a match between Shilat and Guts.

The dungeon keeper Carnefice was changed form looking more monsterious in the manga to more of a regular human in tv series.

left out of the anime and apperently the movies is when they are being chased by the black dog knights ending in an apostle battle shortly before the festival
