Trivia:

When asked by Jake Tarbox at a Hojo panel how many people were familiar with the Jackie Chan film, a number of people raised their hands. Hojo hasn't shown any negative reaction to the live-action adaptation, although he is amused by it.

Jackie considers this to be one of his worst films.

City Hunter is not Jackie Chan's only anime-related roll. In My Lucky Stars, he dresses in an Arale-Chan costume from Dr. Slump.

During the fight in the cinema, extracts from Bruce Lee's "Game of Death" can be seen on the screen.

One of the characters in the Street Fighter II game is named E. Honda. Since Jackie is a spokesman for Mitsubishi, they decided to change the characters name to E. Honde, just so the competitors name wasn't mentioned.

Keith Vitali was considered for the role of Richard Norton's main henchman but the role eventually went to Gary Daniels.

During the "Hard & Soft" song and dance scene in the casino, amongst the crowd can be spotted Australian actor and stuntman Michael Miller, and a long haired Mike Leeder, editor of Impact magazine.
