In Episode 17, one of the competitors is "Kubrick from Jupiter," a reference to 2001: a Space Odyssey directed by Stanley Kubrick which involved a voyage to Jupiter.

In episode 25, the instructions that Mylandah gives the Nerilian three legged racers is in actuality the infamous "Konami Code" Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. A cheat code common to most classic Konami games.
