Trivia:

Damaramu's cybernetic body bears an uncanny resemblance to the Guyver Bio-Boost Armor. He also purchased it from Blacksmith Tony, an Ironman reference. Dick Saucer's chest mounted alarm that tells him when its time to do a concert resembles Ultraman's warning alarm.

The 'of doom' part of the "Damaramu water squiter of doom" was not in the scripts. Brett Weaver added the 'of doom' during the takes because he thought the "Damaramu water squiter" was too 'lame'.

Mecha Damaramu's "Sidewinder Ultra Bomb" is a possible homage to either Mazinger Z's Missile Punch or Great Mazinger's Naval Misssile Attack.

Dragon Half was planned as a 4 episode OVA series but the first two 25-minute videos (released in Japan on March 26 and May 28, 1993) bombed and the final two were never made. Despite the story being incomplete, Dragon Half actually has a large cult following in America. This prompted ADV into enquiring about a possible co-funding project to see it's completion but nothing ever materialized over the years.

The music over the closing credits is a bouncy bubblegum pop arrangement (by Kohei Tanaka) with nonsense lyrics to the main musical motifs of several Beethoven Symphonies.
