This short piece was created for Gundam's 20th anniversary celebration, and unveiled alongside the announcement of the "Turn A Gundam" anime series and a preview of the "G-Saviour" live-action/CG movie.

Mission to the Rise states the beginning of Gundam's "Universal Century" calender as 2045, placing the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series in approximately 2124.
