Trivia:

A poster of Umi ga Kikoeru ("Ocean Waves" or "I Can Hear the Sea"), also produced by Studio Ghibli, is displayed in front of a bookstore in the movie. Totoro, Kiki, Taeko (from "Only Yesterday"), and Porco also made their cameo appearance during a flying scene.

Almost never released in the U.S. by Disney, due to its graphic-albeit playful-images of animal genitalia.
