Spot the Shameless Plugs: SNK is all over the movie - 1) The ring used in the Joe Higashi vs. Hwa-Jai match; 2) Neo-Geo Land, where Terry first bumps into Sulia; and 3) the 18-wheeler truck that collides with Terry's bike.

Japanese actress and gravure idol Reiko Chiba makes a cameo appearance twice: The first as herself during Joe Higashi's celebration party, and the second while cosplaying as Nakoruru from the Samurai Shodown series at Duck King's night club. The English dub, however, does not identify the character as Reiko.

Laocorn's henchmen use fighting abilities based on natural elements: Hauer (wind), Panni (water), and Jamin (fire).
