Trivia:

Several characters wear (sun-)glasses of a brand named Sous-Marin. They're most prominently featured of course in the fifth episode with that title. 'Sous-marin' is French for sub-marine. The glasses are modeled after real-world brand Rudy Project.

The EISF institute mentioned in this work, must be modelled after the RIKEN (理研) in Japan.

The pacing of the story in Real Drive is very similar to the movie Le Grand Bleu

The contrast between technology and belief displayed in Real Drive also draw some similitude to the film 'Contact'

The ideological concept of 'Real Drive' could be also referenced on the claims by 'Masaru Emoto'

The phenomenal discussed in 'Real Drive' called Earth Rhythm could be also a reference to 'Water memory'

In episode 10, a chat AI is introduced called 'Eliza'. This is a direct reference to the ELIZA program created in 1966. The creator of the AI 'Eliza' is named Eliza Weizenbaum, a direct reference to the creator of the original ELIZA, MIT professor Joseph Weizenbaum.

In episode 10 at approximately 14:20, the diver Masamichi Haru appears in a room, decorated in white with a glowing white floor. This is an obvious reference to the end of the movie '2001' after Dave Bowman's trip through the star gate.

In episode 23, when they reboot the brain of Eiichiro Kushima, they execute a program call HAL/M. That's probably the acronym for (High-order Assembly Language/MetaReal). This should be made in homage of the real HAL/S which is a very reliable and resilience computer language used by the NASA.
