Trivia:

Atsushi throws away a drink can, that has the name "PRINCE" on the label.

The anime draws attention to the fact that male lead, Dōjō Atsushi is shorter than female lead (and protagonist), Kasahara Iku, much like Lovely Complex. Also, both male leads are not only short, but are both named "Atsushi"; Ōtani Atsushi in Lovely Complex and Dōjō Atsushi in Library War.

In episode 6 during the flashback of defending the Children's books, when Dōjō Atsushi checks his watch for the time, it can be seen that the G-Shock look-a-like is branded "PRINCE".

The book decribed as "the book of prophecy" in episode 6, which tells of a future where books are burned by a government agency, and which is described as having been written by an American author and subsequently filmed by a French director, is likely "Fahrenheit 451" (1955) by Ray Bradbury, a book which was later made into a film by François Truffaut in 1966. This is also confirmed at the end of the episode, when the book cover is shown, with the title K505 (= 505 degrees Kelvin, or roughly the same as the temperature Fahrenheit 451).

In episode 6 Shibasaki was watching a horror movie with the jigsaw puppet from the American movie series "Saw"
