Foundation date: 1997-12
An offshoot of the U.S.-based satellite television service, DirecTV Japan was founded by Hughes Electronics, Inc. (which is now known as the DirecTV Group), Space Communications Corp., Culture Convenience Corp., and Dai Nippon Printing Co.
