Dreamwave Productions

Foundation date: 1996
About:
Dreamwave Productions was founded in 1996 by brothers Pat and Roger Lee (not related to comic book artist Jim Lee) as part of Image Comics. In 2001, Dreamwave spun off from Image to become a fully independent company after acquiring the license to produce Transformers comics. However, on January 4, 2005, Dreamwave went bankrupt. On August 2 of that same year, Canadian businessman Christian Dery purchased the company's assets and has slowly been planning to relaunch it as Dreamwave Entertainment.
