Plot Summary:
Haruo Hattori is a simple country girl who is naïve and clumsy but has a winning personality. Having graduated from high school, she plans to move to Tokyo with her boyfriend – she’ll go to university and he’ll play pro baseball. Unfortunately, no team selects her boyfriend and she moves to Tokyo alone. Once there, a friend introduces Haruo to the life of a Ginza club hostess and, working under the name “Hello”, she soon becomes a popular new addition to the staff of Club 9. The patrons are charmed by Haruo’s simplicity and honesty and she soon finds herself surrounded by doting executives, sports stars, media personalities and manga artists.
