If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.

Jazz music is much the stars as the main cast in this story about teens who become friends in late 1960s Japan. Great sounds and good character development bolster what is otherwise a fairly pedestrian character drama.

.hack//SIGN Novel 1
Fans of the .hack franchise should find this first novel translation appealing for its details on the background of The World and how it works, while newcomers should find it to be an intriguing gateway story. Not top-rate writing, but still worth a look.
