This six-episode OVA story fills in a time gap in the first series by looking at certain incidents from multiple different angles. Though hardly crucial viewing, fans of the franchise should find this satisfying.

A young man tries to battle back against giant humanoids who feast on humans in this graphic, visceral, and fantastically intense action/horror story. Its great strengths overcome writing and production value inconsistencies.

This penultimate volume features the best writing and storytelling in the series to date. It's still not enough to elevate the overall series beyond the realm of mediocre, but it does provide some enjoyable episodes that should well please anyone who has stuck with the series so far.
