A young man tries to battle back against giant humanoids who feast on humans in this graphic, visceral, and fantastically intense action/horror story. Its great strengths overcome writing and production value inconsistencies.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.

Whether or not Air Gear works for you ultimately depends entirely on how much you buy into the “cool” factor of its extreme sports elements. The first few episodes look and sound great, but the very formulaic story execution is discouraging.
