A young man tries to battle back against giant humanoids who feast on humans in this graphic, visceral, and fantastically intense action/horror story. Its great strengths overcome writing and production value inconsistencies.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.

The focus splits between Re-l and Vincent as the plotlines set up in the first few episodes gradually thicken, continuing a dark, brooding, and good-looking sci-fi series which won't suit everyone's tastes but is nonetheless a solid production.
