A young man tries to battle back against giant humanoids who feast on humans in this graphic, visceral, and fantastically intense action/horror story. Its great strengths overcome writing and production value inconsistencies.

If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.

Typical shonen fare: bizarre villains with bizarre abilities try to kill the heroes in clever ways while the heroes beat them down with superior skill and/or power. You can find much better manga elsewhere which shows the same kind of fare and looks better doing it.
