Aya Hirano Streams Live Special Program on Wednesday

posted on by Egan Loo
Singer/voice actress to field questions, song requests by email to mark album release

Singer and voice actress Aya Hirano (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, Fairy Tail) will appear in a special live Aya Stream program on the Ustream website to celebrate the Wednesday release of her best-of compilation album, Aya Museum. The scheduled program will run about one hour long and will start on Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Japan (6:00 a.m. EDT).

There will be two themes for the program. For the "Futsuota" theme, the program is fielding emailed questions about any topic before the program. For the "No. 1 Hirano Aya Song" theme, the program is also taking requests for listeners' favorite Hirano songs — one of her own signature songs and one song by one of her characters. A listener who emails "Futsuota" questions or "No. 1 Hirano Aya Song" requests should put "ふつおた" or "No.1平野綾ソング," respectively, in the email message's subject. The email message should also include the listener's name and and pen name at the very bottom of their message.

Hirano's blog also suggests that a listener who emails her can include a phone number where he or she can be reached during the program, hinting that something "surprising" might happen.
