posted on by Egan Loo
Director Kamiyama supervised Kusanagi's jacket & trench coat, Laughing Man's jacket

Last Friday, the retailer Parco City began accepting pre-orders for the leather racing jacket worn by Major Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime franchise. The "Leather Riders Type Motoko Kusanagi (plot x Kenji Kamiyama)" coincides with the July 22 release of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society -Another Dimension- Dennōka Box.

Kenji Kamiyama, the director of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, supervised the design of the leather racing jacket by Masaru Kubota of the fashion brand plot. The jacket is made of reconstructed bonded leather.

The jacket costs 39,990 yen (about US$513), and it will start shipping in mid-January of next year. Customers can order the jacket at the online Parco Museum Shop's Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. premium mini-shop. Until August 7 at the Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Limited Shop at the Revelatons/Shibuya store in Tokyo, they can also try putting on a sample jacket.

Parco previously offered Motoko Kusanagi's trench coat and The Laughing Man's jacket from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. All three fashion items were supervised by Kamiyama.
