Talking Anpanman Vending Machines Installed in Japan in September

The Japanese company Meiji will install special talking Anpanman beverage vending machines throughout Japan starting in September. When people approach the machine, they will hear the voice of Anpanman himself along with the show's opening theme song "Anpanman March." The voice will say such phrases as "How is everyone doing?," "I am Anpanman!" and "Thank you! Please come and see me again!"
The vending machines will carry a special "Meiji Soreike! Anpanman Series" of drink boxes featuring illustrations of various Anpanman characters for kids, and will also carry coffee for adults. The machines will feature illustrations of Anpanman and his rival Baikinman on the front. In addition, the machines will feature a three-foot tall illustration of Anpanman surrounding its retrieval opening, which is intended for children to stand beside for a commemorative photo.
