French Satoshi Kon Tribute Exhibition Posted Online

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Exhibition posted online to mark the 1 year anniversary of director's death

The French website Catsuka along with the French convention Japan Expo have posted an online version of their exhibition containing 40 images from French artists paying tribute to director Satoshi Kon, who passed away one year ago on August 24, 2010. The exhibition site is available in English, French, and Japanese.

The "A Tribute to Satoshi Kon" exhibition was previously a part of the Japan Expo convention, held from June 30 to July 3 this year at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. The exhibition originally appeared at the Japan Expo Sud Exhibition in Marseille from February 25-27. Many of the paintings feature caricatures of Satoshi Kon, or are based on the five anime he directed: the films Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika, and his television series Paranoia Agent. Catsuka has also posted pictures from the physical exhibitions at the Japan Expo convention and the Japan Expo Sud Exhibition.

Thanks to Tsuka for the news tip.
