El Shaddai Headed to Android Devices as an App

The game developer Ignition Entertainment will release El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Android Version, a tentatively titled app for the Android app market "G-Ge." Ignition Entertainment has not made public the details of the new version, such as its gameplay, price, and release date.
However, Enterbrain's Famitsu website noted on Saturday that the screenshots indicate that it is a side-scrolling action game in which the player switches between three weapons to advance. The game is slated to be compatible with the game controls on the Xperia Play smartphones.
Even before the original game shipped in August for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, it created a buzz online with a preview video that popularized the phrase "Sonna Sōbi de Daijōbu ka?" ("You sure that's enough armor?") Last year, the phrase topped the Net Ryūkōgo Taishō (Net Buzzword Awards).
