Tiger & Bunny Staff Respond to Online Fan Project

Food photo gallery inspires executive producer to 'realize' a café in the future

The English-speaking Tiger & Bunny blog This is Sternbild posted a gallery on Tuesday containing more than 300 pictures of Tiger & Bunny-related dishes made by fans around the world to thank the cast and staff of the show, which ended last Saturday. Director Keiichi Satou, scriptwriter Masafumi Nishida and executive producer Masayuki Ozaki each responded to the fan gallery to thank fans for the gesture.

Director Satou posted a response to the gallery on his Twitter account, saying "Thank you, and again, thank you for the meal."

Scriptwriter Nishida posted an entry on his blog noting that the gallery brought him to tears. Nishida noted on the blog, "As one of the staff, I am grateful. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, and again, thank you." Nishida also mentioned on his blog that a line said by the character Barnaby Brooks Jr. about fried rice in the 24th episode (which inspired the fan food event) was the one line he was the most worried about in the series.

Executive producer Ozaki responded to the fan gallery in English on his Twitter account, thanking the fans and adding, "To reciprocate your affection, I'd like to realize T&B CAFE in near future. Thanks, and thanks again!!"

Ozaki had mentioned the idea of a Tiger & Bunny café on his Twitter account earlier this month.

In 2010, the manga quartet CLAMP also responded to a fan project, a fan appreciation book that contained almost 400 pages of fanart, photos and letters from CLAMP fans in more than 40 countries.
