PSP game's box illustration revealed after 500 players got top score on phone app

Bandai Namco Games launched the free Mami no Dokidoki Tiro Finale (Mami's Heart-Pounding Tiro Finale) iOS/Android smartphone game on Friday. The app was created to celebrate the March 15, 2012 release of the PSP game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable's official website displays a counter for how many people received a perfect score of 100,000 on the Mami no Dokidoki Tiro Finale smartphone game. After 500 people earned that score earlier today, Namco Bandai Games revealed a box illustration for Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable.

ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation magazine announced the PSP game in August, and a trailer for the smartphone spin-off game began streaming on Tuesday. A group of the original anime's staff including head writer Gen Urobuchi is planning and developing the PSP game. Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable will retail at 6,480 yen (about US$84) for the reguler version, and the the limited-pressing pre-order edition will cost 11,990 yen (about US$155).
