Final Fantasy's Uematsu to Perform with Band at MAGFest

Nobuo Uematsu, primary composer for the Final Fantasy game series, will perform with his new band Earthbound Papas at The Music And Gaming Festival (MAGFest) next year. The tenth annual MAGFest will take place near Washington, D.C. in National Harbor, Maryland from January 5 to 8. Earthbound Papas will perform original songs as well as arrangements of Uematsu's previous works at the event.
Earthbound Papas members include Uematsu on keyboard, Michio Okamiya on guitar, Yoshitaka Hirota on bass, Tsutomu Narita on keyboard and guitar, and Arata Hanyuda on drums. The group released their first album titled Octave Theory on March 16 in Japan.
Uematsu appeared at Baltimore's Otakon in July, where he discussed his 2011 CD with Earthbound Papas as well as his former and future musical projects. Anime titles the composer created music for include Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Guin Saga, and Blue Dragon.
