Ghost In the Shell Gets Feature Phone Game in Japan

The Famitsu video game news website revealed on Wednesday that game developers Butterfly and 4cast will release a Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex feature phone game. The game will be playable on the Mobage mobile social gaming platform. Mobage began accepting pre-registrations for the game on Wednesday.
The player will play as a new member of the Section 9 investigative division to help solve difficult cases. The player will investigate crimes, prevent terrorism, and make arrests alongside Major Kusanagi, Batou, and Togusa. The player will also be able to command Tachikoma. The game, which will feature an original story, will formally launch in December, and those who have pre-registered for the game will receive a special in-game bonus item.
