Ni no Kuni Game's Curry Video Streamed

posted on by Kimberly Grace
Level-5's RPG featuring animation by Studio Ghibli released on Thursday in Japan, in English in early 2012

Japanese game developer Level-5 began streaming an 80-second scene from its upcoming release of Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joō on Monday. The video features the game's main character Oliver eating a bowl of the Legendary Beef Curry featured in the game.

The Japanese food company House Foods is currently selling an instant curry dish to celebrate the release of the PS3 version. The "Ni no Kuni Desert Oasis Curry" box sells for 298 yen (US$3.88), and contains potatoes, carrots, and beef in House Food's original curry sauce.

Level-5's upcoming role-playing adventure game features animation by Studio Ghibli, and it is a companion to the Nintendo DS game Ni no Kuni: Shikkoku no Madōshi, which shipped last December. In both versions, Ni no Kuni follows a boy who can move from his home world to the world of "Ni no Kuni" via a magical book.

Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joō will ship in Japan on Thursday for the retail price of 8,800 yen (about US$114), and an English release will follow in early 2012.
