posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Naruto voice actress Takeuchi & manga creator Kishimoto also contribute to event

The Japanese rock band Flow performed at the "Naruto World Tour Japan Convention" event on Sunday to celebrate Bandai Namco Games' shipment of 10 million Naruto video games. Flow has performed the theme songs "GO!!!" and "Re:member" for the Naruto anime, "Summer Freak" for the Naruto ~Shounen Hen~ re-airing of the original Naruto television anime, and "Sign" for the Naruto Shippūden series.

Junko Takeuchi, the Japanese voice actress who plays Naruto, appeared at the event. The Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto also contributed a special illustration of Naruto to celebrate the 10 million games shipped.

This year marks the tenth year since the Naruto television anime series premiered in Japan, and Flow is also celebrating ten years since its debut. The band has performed theme songs for television anime including Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Eureka Seven, Heroman, and Persona -trinity soul-, and Beelzebub. The rock group released the Flow Anime Best compilation album of anime tie-in songs last March.

Between the first game, Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō, which was released in 2003 for the WonderSwan Color, and the most recent game, Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Impact (Naruto Shippūden: Narutimate Impact), which was released in Japan and North America in October 2011 for the PlayStation Portable, 15 Naruto game titles have been released. Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, the latest Naruto game will ship in Japan on February 23, in the United States on March 13, and in Europe on March 30.
