24-year-old voice actress Rieka Yazawa announced on her blog on Friday that she will leave the voice acting business. Yazawa explained that she graduated from graduate school in March, and that she plans to pursue a career in a field related to her studies. Yazawa wrote that she had many precious experiences while working as a voice actress, and she treasures that experience, the people she met, and the time she spent as a voice actress.

Yazawa voiced the role of Futaba Kon and contributed vocals to the ending theme song for the And Yet the Town Moves (Sore de mo Machi wa Mawatteiru) television anime series that aired in 2010. Yazawa has also played smaller roles such as three-year-old Yesterday Taguchi in Hen Zemi, Nandaro-kun in the Maria Holic Alive, and Rabi~en~Rose in Di Gi Charat starting in 2008. She also played Erika in the Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine online game.

Yazawa added that she plans to close down both her blog and her Twitter account by the beginning of April.
